About Us

National Coding Week is a volunteer-led organisation founded in 2014. It aims  to help build people’s confidence and skills by encouraging volunteers to run fun and engaging digital events.

Our Lead Volunteers

Richard Rolfe

After contracting cancer, leaving his job and a chance meeting with a former student, Richard found himself at the age of 49 in the world of coding and web design. It soon became apparent to Richard that if you are adult and want to gain digital skills its hard to take the first steps.

Jonathan Channing

Jonathan left school with no qualifications and was diagnosed with autism aged 19. His life changed when he attended a coding course which fired him up to learn more. He now runs his own successful web design business and volunteers his skills as Head of Strategy at National Coding Week.
